In response to requests from the South Spires Tenants Association for a tidy up of footpaths and grassed areas the Parish Council has worked with Derbyshire County Council and the Probation Service to carry out the work through the Community Payback scheme.

The stream behind Bonnington Drive has been cleared and many footpaths and grassed areas have been tidied up over the past few weeks.. Many of the residents have commented positively on the clean up operation that has tided up the area.

It is planned that the Community Payback team will move onto the Windmill Rise Estate to carry out similar work in the future.
