The Parish Council Carol Service was held in the St Thomas Parish Church on Friday 12th December 2010 that was attended by local residents. The carol services included Christmas Melodies by the Heage Band and songs by The Somercotes Girl Guides, Brownies and Rainbows. A collection was made for the Derbyshire Autism Services group and raised £138.60. The council supplied seasonal refreshments for the dignitaries, councillors and attendees to the carol service in the Parish Hall after the service.
