Quality Parish Council status
by Parish Council on Tuesday 1 October 2019
Somercotes Parish Council welcomed successful applicants to receive their grant awards at a ceremony on the 6th September 2019 in the Village Hall.
Each year the Council invites local organisations to apply for grant funding to support various activities and projects which benefit the parish.
The total amount of grants awarded was £6000
Recipients were; Sleetmoor United FC, Birchwood Methodist Church, Somercotes Brownies, Somercotes Ladies Group, Somercotes Local History Society, Somercotes Scout Group, St Thomas’ Church, Pennytown Court Friendship Group, Rainbows, 1st Somercotes Guides, Somerlea Centre, Somercotes Choral Society, Somercotes Against Development, Somercotes Community Wellbeing, Derbyshire Unemployed Workers Centre and Derbyshire Childrens Holiday Centre.
