Appeal Rejected -  Amber Valley Rugby Club, Lower Somercotes. Residential development for up to 200 dwellings

Somercotes Parish Council have consistently objected to this application, raising concerns as long ago as 2014.  The application was initially refused by the Planning Department of Amber Valley Borough Council and an appeal  by the applicant followed.  This appeal has now been rejected by the Secretary of State, despite being uncontested by the Planning Authority.

Somercotes Parish Council are delighted with this decision  and  would like to thank all those who raised objections, together with  the  sterling work of  the Somercotes Against Development group, who have so effectively contributed to this outcome.
