Dog fouling is a major concern to members of the public. There also appears to be a bigger problem that has arisen in that increasing amounts of bagged dog faeces are being left behind as people fail to dispose of their bags after cleaning up after their pets.
Everyone walking a dog must clean up after it. No excuses! Always take a bag with you, close and tie it and dispose of the mess in either a dog bins or any street litterbin provided by the council. Otherwise you can put it in the bin at home.
Somercotes Parish Council provides free bags, which can be collected from the Village Hall. Amber Valley BC provide and empty dog waste bins and general use litter bins for disposal of the bags.
So what is the excuse for this?
Over 50 bags left by the footpath behind the Winding Wheel, Somercotes
