has been awarded
Quality Parish Council status
by Parish Council on Friday 5 August 2016
Each year the Parish Council makes budget provision for grant aid to foster and encourage local clubs, groups and organisations in the Parish.
Any Club, Society or Organisation that is based in the Parish or provides a service for residents in the Parish is eligible to apply.
So far in this financial year grant awards have been made to eighteen such applicants.
On Friday 22nd July 2016 a Presentation Evening was held and below are some of the recipients, who received grant awards. Chairman of the Parish Council (Cllr Paul Smith) said “It is always a great pleasure to make these grant presentations to all those local organisations and groups that bring a benefit to the community of Somercotes and the Parish Council applauds the work that you do”.
