Derbyshire County Council is looking for people who can give long term and permanent homes to children with additional needs and disabilities.

There’s around 630 children in care in Derbyshire including young people with a range of different challenges and needs.

There will be an information evening at county hall in Matlock on July 1 from 4pm to 7pm.

The council’s fostering and adoption team will be on hand to offer help and advice.  Local charities will also be at the event to talk about support they can offer.

As well as adoptive homes the council also needs foster carers for all types of disability fostering including long term and permanence fostering. They’re also looking for people who can offer full time baby placements.
