Leabrooks Allotment Association Committee agreed a 4 year development plan to improve their allotments for its members. The development plan included new entrance gates, additional water stand-pipes and a ‘Compus Toilet’. The new gates and water stand-pipes were provided by the Parish Council and support funding from a Derbyshire Community Grant (£600.00). A successful application was made to the National Lottery ‘Awards For All’ programme to secure the ‘Compus Toilet’ system. Members of the Allotment Association will install the new toilet system, once Planning Permission has been granted.

The Chairman, Clive Hibbitt’ said “Our allotments is now family orientated and the days of men going behind hedges for the toilet needed to change. So with the support of the Parish Council we have achieved many of our aims and the culmination of our efforts has been the successful lottery bid for the new ‘Compus toilet’ system that will be hugely beneficial to everyone who has plots on our allotments. I would like to thank the Parish Council for their invaluable support in making all our improvements possible.”
