The Parish Council, after receiving requests to install Christmas lighting in Leabrooks where in the past this has been the case, has approved an additional cost of lighting for shops and businesses in Leabrooks, as well as a feature at the Three Horse Shoes Public House, Leabrooks and the Dog and Doublet, Pye Bridge as these are the entry points to the Parish of Somercotes.

The Chairman, Cllr Paul Smith, said that” it is important to ensure the Parish as a whole is included rather than just the central Christmas display in Somercotes.  We hope that the extended Christmas display of lights will be appreciated by the community following the council’s commitment to incorporate as much of the Parish as possible. “
