There is a new Police Inspector for the Amber Valley Section. Inspector Graham Lamin has taken over from Inspector Richard Smith who has moved to Buxton CID. Inspector Lamin has served with Derbyshire constabulary for 25 years.
A new PCSO has joinded the Somercotes & Riddings Safer Neighbourhood Team. PCSO Richard Plant joined the Safer Neighbourhood Team in November 2012, and is getting to know the area working alongside the other members of the team.
