has been awarded
Quality Parish Council status
by Parish Council on Saturday 4 August 2012
On Friday, 27th July, 2012, at the Meeting of the Ordinary Parish Council, Mr Brian Wood of DALC presented Councillor Paul Smith, Chairman of the Parish Council, with the Quality Council Status Certificate.
Mr Cooke said it was a tremendous achievement for the Council to attain Quality Council Status, there being only 25 in Derbyshire. He commended the Clerk to the Council for his hard work on behalf of the Council in preparing and submitting the portfolio. Councillor Smith said he was proud that Somercotes Parish Council had attained Quality status and reiterated his thanks to the Clerk.
