Pennytown Ponds, Local Nature Reserve, has been awarded the Prestigious Green Flag Award for the second year.
Pennytown Ponds was one of four of Amber Valley’s parks that have once again, been awarded prestigious Green Flag Awards. As well as Pennytown, Belper Parks, Belper River Gardens and Crossley Park in Ripley have each receive the Green Flag Award, a sign to visitors that the park is well-maintained and well-managed, with excellent facilities.
The flag was raised at Pennytown Ponds on Tuesday 17th July with representitives of Amber Valley Borough Council and Palmer Morewood Fishing Club in attendance along with local Parish & County Councillor, Paul Smith.
