A new police constable has joined the Somercotes and Swanwick Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team.
PC Chris Anthony joined Derbyshire Constabulary five years ago as a patrol constable and has spent the majority of his service on front line response. The first three years of his career were spent at Bolsover as a patrol officer.
In mid 2010 Chris moved to Alfreton section, whilst there he has responded to incidents throughout the whole of Amber Valley.
Chris said: “I am looking forward to being part of the Safer Neighbourhood team and meeting the residents of Somercotes and Swanwick.
“Each village within the county has its own issues and I intend to work with the community to help tackle these at a local level.
